Biography

With nearly a decade of experience, Amanda Konieczny is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in the care of adult patients. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Amanda received a Master of Science in nursing and graduated with high honors from The Sage Colleges in Albany/Troy, NY. She began her studies at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Known for her professionalism and compassion, Amanda works with patients and their families to ensure they receive the highest quality care. She is interested in disease prevention and management and weight management/weight loss.

Amanda has gained experience as a registered nurse in Rochester, NY, and as a traveling nurse throughout the U.S. Caring for others is what she does best, and knowing that she can make a difference brings her joy. Amanda has cared for a multitude of patients with different diseases and illnesses. Being present for patients at their worst moments or during a difficult diagnosis has been the most grounding and enlightening experience, which has allowed her to look at life from a different perspective. Amanda’s favorite part of her job is changing the lives of others and being there when people need someone the most. When it comes to caring for her patients, she believes that being present and honest and allowing her patients to take part in their medical decision-making is most important.

Amanda is originally from Brunswick, NY. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Amanda considers herself a “foodie.” One of her favorite hobbies is trying new foods around the Capital Region. She also enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and shopping with her mom. Amanda is a proud mom of two “fur babies.”
